19-3 Main bamboo charcoal
Coal bamboo (only soot) - a high-quality material used in tea rooms and temples.
"Bamboo" is classified academically as a woody plant in the subfamily Bambusoideae of the grass family. However, bamboo does not have growth rings, and its growth patterns and leaf changes differ from those of trees. Furthermore, while trees typically propagate their offspring by seeds, bamboo grows into young shoots from the buds of underground rhizomes that spread in the soil. So, if we ask whether it is a grass, bamboo is woody and it is difficult to categorize it as grass.
